Define quantities and scope
Steel mass and section types, fixings, design time, production operations and erection work form the basis. Gross floor area, net area and panel area are different measures. Storeys, spans, height, roofs and openings affect quantities.
Include actual labour and logistics
Machine cost includes operation, energy, maintenance and productive availability. A crew-hour differs from one person-hour. Transport, unloading, lifting equipment, accommodation and access may be significant. Avoid counting the same overhead twice.
Move from estimate to quotation
Brochure examples offer reference quantities, not a price for your project. Send drawings, location, floor areas, roof form and delivery scope. Separate foundations, envelope, services and finishes. Confirm the amount after technical detailing and current input costs are checked.
